Dul Mulok Kembiri_Belitong Village "Sudagar Budiman"



Dul Mulok is a traditional art originating from the village of Kembiri, which is a drama or a type of opera where the source of the story comes from old Syaer (syair) including Syaer Siti Zubaida, Syaer Juragan Budiman, Syaer Mabi and Syaer Abdul Mulok who are the forerunners of this art. The tools used in this art include one long drum and one piul or better known as a violin.



The origin of Dul ​​Mulok art originated from the idea of ​​someone who was clever in Besaer namely Tok Juhek which was around the era of the 1940s, he was very proficient and well versed so he wished to pour the contents of the Syaer into a drama then he gathered relatives and friends -friends to convey the idea and then his idea was greeted enthusiastically by them. Then Tok Juhek along with his brother trained the players so that this drama art, at first the players reached 60 people and the story that was first performed was Abdul Mulok's story so that the name was attached to the present.



In the subsequent development Mulok was developed into Parang Bulo Village which was under the son of Tok Juhek namely Kek Lang while in Kembiri Dul Mulok was developed by Kek Narek who was a child of Tok Juhek as well and this generation continued to be preserved by Tok Juhek's grandchildren. At present Dul Mulok is led by Mr. Sar'ie who is assisted by his younger brother Ramdani as the director.
